Heart Warming Beef Stroganoff

Heart Warming Beef Stroganoff

  • 500 grams diced beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 30 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 250 grams sliced mushrooms
  • 240 ml beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 240 ml sour cream
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Cooked pasta, for serving

  1. Season the diced beef with salt and pepper. Then, dredge the beef in the flour, shaking off the excess.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until it's browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they're browned and tender, about 5 more minutes.

  4. Pour in the beef broth and stir in the Dijon mustard. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

  5. Stir in the sour cream until it's well combined, then return the beef to the skillet. Continue to cook the mixture on low heat until the beef is heated through, about 5 minutes.

  6. Serve the Beef Stroganoff over cooked pasta and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy
